Te Amo Puerto Vallarta
Having been in Mexico for Dia de los Muertos, either dressing up or just handing out toothbrushes (me being a Dental Assistant), this year I am not able to make it to Mexico.
I am sad.
I miss the smell of Puerto Vallarta when I first arrive, humid, hot, sweet plumeria smells, exhaust from trucks in the tunnel, Pineapples.
I miss the sound of the Pacific Ocean crashing on the beach.
I miss buying Mahi Mahi or Shrimp on a stick with yummy fresh-squeezed lime on top, fresh cut-up veggies or fruit in a cup. YUM!
I miss going to the rio Cuale.
I miss looking at Talavera Hernandez pottery at SeƱor Talavera. Moises is the BEST, always with a great deal and will ship to the USA.
I miss looking at the Iguanas & squirrels and having the birds poop on me!
I miss going to Apaches at night, sitting out by the sidewalk, chatting with people, having their 2 for 1 happy hour drinks and watching Chuy dancing around. Watching the people walk buy, selling trinkets, watching the old lady selling her "doorstop" loaves of bread. Running over to Andale's Bar and dancing for a bit. I miss "The Alice Song" at Andales! Listening to Los Bambinos sing their songs!
I miss getting my many ink tattoos done!
I miss being with my friends who are all on their way down to PV right now.
I miss my friends and their families that live in Mexico, work very hard for a meager living, but enjoy every year, day, minute and second of their lives.
I miss the beautiful people. The easy going lifestyle. The mercado, street food, tromping around the Gardens.
I miss the beautiful Sunsets from Vallarta Shores, the moon setting at 4 AM on the Pacific, having coffee and seeing the early morning views of Puerto Vallarta from the balcony.
I am sad! But in my heart, I am there.
Te Amo Puerto Vallarta!!!
